Velika is a recreational and tourist center on the southern slopes of the Papuk and Požega Valley in Slavonia, 12 km north of Pozega, located at an altitude of 273 meters.
Velika is very visited place for its Thermal baths, with three outdoor swimming-pools, which are located at the foot of the mountain lodge "Lapjak," available during the summer. Healing mineral water which comes from two rich sources, temperatures around 28 ° C helps in the treatment of rheumatic diseases.
Velika is also known for nurturing and preservation of ancient folk traditions, as well as the main starting point for hiking on mountain Papuk.
