Holiday House Gacka offers accommodation with favorable prices at the bank of river Gacka, in Otočac, in Lika-Senj County. The house is situated on a spacious green plot, a few steps from the river and about 800m from the center of Otočac, surrounded by greenery and tranquility.
Accommodation is ideal for family vacation in nature, river tourism, and offers ideal opportunities for rural tourism and active vacations.

The accommodation capacity of the house is for up to 5 persons and consists of a living room with dining area, fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom on the ground floor of the house. On the upper floor there are two bedrooms and a large terrace overlooking the greenery, the surrounding hills and the river. One bedroom have a double bed and the other is with three single beds.
The house is equipped with heating, satellite TV and internet connection .. Parking space is provided.
Guests have at their disposal a spacious garden with wooden benches, deckchairs and barbecue facilities.

Otočac (4.203 inhabitants) is the center of Gacka and town Otocac. It is one of the oldest settlements with the Croatian population. It is mentioned for the first time on the Bašćanska panel from the end of the 11th century.
Otocac owes its name and survival to the river island. By the 18th century Otocac was situated on a natural islet in the middle of the Gacka River. The island was fortified by walls and towers for defense. It could only be crossed by a boat across the water. This made it unconquerable and in its long history Otočac was never conquered city.

River Gacka with its tributaries is 61 km long. Although in all its traits is the karst rivers, Gacka is extremely slow, with a calm stream and with even amounts of water. Gacko, in addition to the large amounts of water from the spring, is also known for continuity and small differences in temperature. The average annual temperature of the river is 9.4 ° C (7.9 ° C in winter, in summer 10.8 ° C) which are particularly suitable to fish from the family of salmonids. Thanks to this, the Gacka River flora and fauna is very rich.
Of fish species, Gacka in the world is well known by its creek trout (Salmo trutta Linnaeus). Because of the abundance of food, this kind of trout in Gacka grows 5 to 7 times faster than any other trout water in the world. That is why capital specimens often grow up to 5 kg. The fishing season on the Gacka River starts on March 1st and ends on October 31st.
